quatro de mayo

Chloe and I bought a couple new pieces of clothing on Olvera Street during Spring Break, so she thought we should have a little Mexican themed party to wear our new things. I love a get together, so we invited some friends for a Mexi-Q.
Our Pavilions makes the best asada marinade, and it makes for an easy menu. I ordered some pollo and carne asada, made some fresh guacamole, and served up some chips y salsa. I made quesadillas for the little ladies. We bought some rice drink from Trader Joe's and whipped up some horchata from their in-store recipe. It's not as good as soaking rice overnight, but it was tasty for a quick version. I think I'll make some popsicles from the leftovers.
